Blizzard have been working hard to give World of Warcraft players a lot of options for getting their ‘WoW’ fix outside of the actual game. We first had the armory introduced to the website which now boasts full character and equipment stats, talent specs and even a 3d character viewer. Shorty after the success Blizzard had with the armory we then saw the armory come over to the iphone for more portability and then the ‘fishing buddy’ app for the iphone which actually let you level up your characters in-game fishing skill on the go from your iphone.

Blizzard look to continue making use of the iphone with the announcement of the new auction system for the iphone. The full details have not been released as of yet but it has been mentioned in a recent interview that rather than a standalone app the auction system may be incorporated into the existing armory app and there is a possibility that some features will be ‘premium’, whether that means it will be a standalone ‘paid’ app or an addition to the armory app with a recurring charge hasn’t been clarified.

When Age of Conan was released back in 2008 it didn’t do as well as it should have due to a buggy release, this was ironed out eventually however players who had stuck with the game through the bad times discovered a more pressing issue – a serious lack of high level content. Well if your a fan of Age of Conan and have been thirsting for some high end content to get stuck into then your prayers may have been answered as that’s just one of the issues being addressed by Funcom in the upcoming expansion pack ‘Rise of The Godslayer

Over the past week or so reviews have started popping up for Mass Effect 2 but its hard to find all the information without literally going out and buying a magazine which depending on what country you live in, could be pointless anyway. So, we have decided to collect together the review scores so you can see for yourself how Mass Effect 2 has scored and not base it all on a single review, we doubt you’ll be disappointed!

Official Xbox Magazine – 9.5/10

Edge Magazine 10/10

PC Gamer – 90/100

Games TM – 10/10

GameAktuall (German) – 91%

Xbox 360 Gamer – 9/10

CD-Action (Polish) – 10/10

Xbox 360 World – 90%

Now, that should put all your doubts to shame. Pre-order Mass Effect 2 now or miss out!

April Fools Trick
During the game on April 1st (April Fools Day), Your monster will leave smiley face foot prints in the ground instead of their regular foot prints. You can change your computer’s date to April 1st.

Vertigo For the Evil
Start the tutorial and wait for your conscience to stop talking. Continuously move the cursor in circles and your evil conscience’s head will eventually star spinning.

Food/Wood Bug
When using a wood miracle, if you rapid right click over a building, such as the main entrance to your village store, or the main building of the workshop, you will get almost 40,000 wood. This also works for a food miracle over the workshop. This works for both one shot miracles, and cast miracles.

Custom Villager Names
(To carry out this change you have to edit a game file. Please maake sure you have backed up the file before proceeding.)
Use a text editor to edit the “names.txt” file in the game folder. You can change the names contained in the file as desired. However, the number of names in the file must match the number listed in the first line.

Infinite Food and Wood
Activate a Food or Wood Miracle. Then, hold the Hand over the door of the village store or workshop and quickly and repeatedly press the Right Mouse Button. If done correctly, a large amount of food or wood will be created for very little mana.

Infinite Water Miracles
Use the following trick to get unlimited Water Miracles on the first level. At the place where there is the first silver reward, scroll on land one. After completing it, knock over the rock again and it will turn into a Water Miracle.

Beach Balls, Bowling Balls and Bowling Pins
Go to the God’s Playground (press [F2] during a game) and exit out of the first tutorial by pressing [Esc]. Then zoom all the way out. Look for the small island off of the larger one. When you find it, zoom in on it. Rotate the camera so that you are looking at the small island and can see the large island in the distance. At the base of the small island you will see two beach balls, two bowling balls and some bowling pins with smiley faces on them.

Dizzy Evil Conscience
Start the tutorial and wait for your conscience to stop talking. Repeatedly move your mouse in circles and your evil conscience’s head will eventually start spinning.

Alter Time
Hold [Alt] and press 1 to slow down time or hold [Alt] and press 2 to speed up time.

Five Teddy Bears
To get five quite harmless yet fun to throw teddy bears, find the gold story scroll near the large crater near the Indian graveyard. Select it and do as the man says and after you finish the teddy bears will still be in the crater and available to toss about or arrange in any manner you wish.

More Bowling Balls and Bowling Pins
To find two very small bowling balls and ten downsized versions of the pins found on the small island just look near the bottom of the mountain with the Celtic Wonder on top. There should be a shallow ditch at the bottom side facing in towards the mainland where you will find the bowling balls and pins.

Another Toy Ball
To find another toy ball just go to the narrowest part of the mainland and look for a medium sized grey rock standing straight up with a very ponty tip. Hiding behind it is the toy ball.

The Angry Stone Heads of Doom
To find the two angry stone heads go to the hill near the crater talked about in how to get the five teddy bears that has a big forest atop it. If you’re in the right spot you should be able to see the two angry stone heads very easily. Note that if destroying villages is your cup o’ tea these stone heads are perfect for it (which is obviously why I call them the “Angry Stone Heads of Doom”).

Get any creature from the start
Go to My computer, then drive C: Then Program files, Then lionhead studios ltd, Then Black & White, Then Data, Then Ctr, Then you will see a list of all the creatures in the game, to get any of these, you must swich places of one of the 3 started chars,(Ape, Cow, Tiger) by switching the name of one of them to the one you want. Then start up Black & White, Then when you make a new game and get the creature quest finished You will see the creature you want instead of the cow, or tiger or ape. Like Switching the BHorse.CBN file to the BCow.CBN file. That will switch places of both those creatures in the game. [Make a backup before renaming any files]

South Park Spoof
Leave the game running without taking any actions. Eventually, you will hear the advisers in a spoof of South Park.

Easy Miracles
You can teach your creature some miracles easily. Take either Food, Wood, Water, Lightning, Fireball, Teleport, or any other miracle you can use and use some/regrab it. Then put the rest back in the dish at the worship site. You will get the same amount of prayer power, so you can use it again.

1. Version 1.04 is inter-operable with version 1.03 (retail version). That means that players with the retail version and version 1.04 can play on the same game servers.
2. Internet arena and team arena matches would sometimes stall because the winner did not receive notification that the loser had been killed (dropped packet). Version 1.04 should ensure that the match continues.
3. In CTF, if a flag carrier is killed while standing on a bridge, the flag drops through the bridge, and possibly out of the world. This is fixed in version 1.04.
4. We found that the war blade was too powerful. In version 1.04, its damage is reduced.
5. In version 1.04, players can no longer run/jump when hit with the charge dart.
6. Occasionally, at the start of an arena match, your opponent may be invisible. Version 1.04 fixes this, but if you are playing against an opponent running the retail version, this may still happen.
7. The player stats display (accessed by F1) prints each player’s character (e.g. Turok) in the color that the player uses (e.g. red). White is used for players with no color, or observers. The local player’s stats line is printed in green so it’s easily located. When the local player has no color, his character was displayed in green to match the rest of the line. In version 1.04 it is displayed in white to reflect his true status.

Introduction
Dungeon Siege is classified as an RPG but it certainly has elements from the action and adventure genre. It’s innovative character creation process and it’s gorgeous graphics make for a very unique experience. This game doesn’t look to be another Baldur’s Gate clone or a Diablo II look alike, no sir! Hopefully Gas Powered Games can deliver what I and others expect of this title.

Character Creation
This is perhaps the most innovative and interesting technology that the game possesses. When you create your character you’re allowed to pick your gender, name and of course a pair of pants. Dungeon Siege doesn’t allow you to pick any skills or be a certain class from the start. Instead it allows you to develop into whatever you want from the very start of the game. You can dabble a bit in magic, beat down some enemies with an Ax or imitate cupid and let the arrows fly. The game’s skill system is pretty basic since it only has four skills, which are combat magic, melee weapons, ranged weapons and nature magic. If say you choose to be a melee fighter, you wont need to train any additional skills such as Ax or Sword since the skills works the same on all melee weapons. As you use whatever skill you wish your ability increases in that particular skill. I’m guessing most experienced players will be more specialized and not diversify while beginners will do just the opposite. This system seems interesting and quite fun in theory, however I’ll reserve my judgment until I can play a full released version since it may not work so well in practice.

Graphics
Dungeon Siege sure does look great. Textures and models look fantastic thus far. Trees and bushes are especially notable. Their leaves sway back and forth in the wind and each bush has separate leaves, not just a texture with leaves stuck on one big polygon. The landscape is vivid and realistic. The character models are composed of almost 1000 polygons so they are detailed and sharp looking as well. One fantastic feature is that the transitions between dungeons and the landscape aren’t noticeable at all! You’ll go down into a dungeon and there wont be any noticeable transition and the dungeon’s inhabitants will be able to follow you out. Overall I’m very impressed with the game’s graphic splendor so far.

Gameplay
You’ll be able to control up to eight party members, however you’ll start with only one, yourself. You’ll be able to add new party members as the story line progresses and through various quest. There are basically three differently levels of gameplay. The easiest is to follow the story line and not diverge into smaller, less important quest. Now the second level is to diverge into smaller quest and puzzles but not go deeper into those still which would be the most difficult and third level of gameplay. By doing this, Gas Powered Games will hope to cater to the novice gamer as well as the hardcore gamers. The character creation system echoes this same line of thought. Like other RPGs, you’ll focus somewhat on killing baddies and developing your character(s). As you gain experience you can spend it on any of the four skills that exist.

Siege Editor
Siege Editor is a set of tools that lets you take complete control of the game itself. You can create new spells, dungeons, characters and even entire worlds. Players will also be able to post their works on the Internet for other players to download and enjoy. Very cool!

Multiplayer
Players will have the option of Co-op multiplayer play with their friends, via LAN or an in-game match making browser. The developers have hinted at creating worlds just for multiplayer play. One focusing on outdoor exploring and another for dungeon crawling. Nothing has been set in stone though. With Siege Editor discussed earlier, this could get very interesting indeed.

Final Thoughts
Dungeon Siege looks to be a very entertaining game. It will appeal to the side of me that likes to start up a game and have some quick fun and also the side of me that likes to get in depth with an RPG and explore the entire game thoroughly. I’m betting this title will sell very well since it appeals to such a broad audience.

The following codes will work on the single player retail version of the game, and only on a saved game. They do not work in the demo or multi-player games. Edit your Windows 9x/ME Desktop Shortcut for the game and change the “Target” field to:

“C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\WolfSP.exe” +set sv_cheats 1

If using Windows XP, right click on the single play shortcut. On the “Command Line”, make sure the command line is in quotes and add +set sv_cheats after two spaces, so it resembles:
